The Scholarships Available from MTN

The following are the scholarship categories available from MTN:

MTN Science and Technology Scholarship

This is open to 300-level students studying a Science and Technology course in a Nigerian university, polytechnic, or college of education. Each year, 300 students in this category receive scholarships worth ₦200,000 annually until their graduation, subject to them maintaining the required grades.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who:
  • Have completed their 200-level second-semester examination and are entering into 300 level
  • Maintained a CGPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale, or 3.5 on a 5.0 scale (Second Class Upper) or its equivalent
  • Students in this category at polytechnics must have a minimum CGPA of 3.0 (Upper Credit) from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have gained admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) program

MTN Scholarship for Blind Students

This supports 60 blind students studying at universities, polytechnics and colleges of education across Nigeria. These 200 and 300-level students receive scholarships worth ₦200,000 annually up until graduation, subject to them maintaining the required grades.

Eligibility

This scholarship is open to students who:
  • Have a CGPA of at least 2.5 (for university and college of education students)
  • Note that applications from blind students of law will only be accepted if they are in 300 level
  • Students in this category at polytechnics must have a CGPA of at least 2.0 from the Ordinary National Diploma (OND) program and must have gained admission into the Higher National Diploma (HND) program

Top 10 UTME Scholarships

MTN rewards the 10 candidates with the highest UTME scores with scholarships worth ₦200,000 annually, which will run from their first to final year.
