  The Jim Ovia Foundation says it is now accepting applications from students who wish to benefit from the Jim Ovia Scholars Program. If you are an undergraduate student currently enrolled at a recognized institution of higher learning in Nigeria and you’d like a scholarship that covers your tuition and maintenance costs, you may consider applying for this opportunity.

Since 1998, the Jim Ovia Foundation has sponsored the education of hundreds of Nigerian students. The scholarship program is funded by the businessman and philanthropist Jim Ovia and adds up to 100 new beneficiaries to its roll call of scholars each year.

Benefits

About 100 students will receive scholarships that cover their tuition and maintenance costs. The scholarships will last for as long as the beneficiaries’ study program runs, subject to their meeting certain conditions stipulated by the Jim Ovia Foundation.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet these criteria:
  • Must be Nigerian citizens enrolled in a recognized Nigerian institution.
  • This Foundation specifically looks out for candidates with proven intellectual ability.

    • The foundation also seeks individuals with leadership skills or strong leadership potential, and a desire to improve the state of their communities and the country as a whole with their talents.
