  The ECOWAS Bank for Investment and Development (EBID) is recruiting young people from universities in the West African sub-region and the diaspora, as part of its young graduates program. the EBID is the financial arm of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS), it is targeted at high-level graduates who are under 30 years old.

This recruitment drive will see smart young Africans selected to work with EBID for a two-year fixed-term contract. This is subject to them passing a 6-month trial period. If they put in a satisfactory performance over the 2-year contract period, the EBID may employ them for an indefinite period (i.e. they become permanent staff).

Eligibility

The EBID Young Graduates Recruitment Program is open to persons who meet these criteria:
  • Be aged 30 or less at the time they apply
  • Hold a higher education diploma or an equivalent diploma in any one of these areas: private sector operations, public sector operations, infrastructure, risk management, asset/liability management, finance, auditing, legal advice, communications and marketing, and language services
  • Must be skilled in information research techniques (banking analyses, statistics, monitoring of competitive trends, etc.)
  • Have a good command of Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Access)
  • Be able to read and write in two of the three working languages of the bank

Applicants should send their application file, containing the following, to the bank:
  • Detailed Curriculum Vitae (CV)
  • Copies of diplomas
  • Copy of identity card of passport
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Cover letter explaining why the applicant wants to participate in the program, their technical areas of interest, relevant experience, and career prospects
