  The British Council is inviting young Nigerian graduates to apply for intern roles within it. It says that its internship program provides participants with an opportunity to gain real-world experience, acquire and sharpen valuable skills, and prepare themselves for future employment.

Persons who are accepted into the British Council’s internship program will contribute to and learn from the workplaces and projects to which they are assigned. Through on-the-job engagements, they will gain real-world capabilities that complement the knowledge they have obtained through formal training at the institutions of higher learning from which they graduated. The internship positions are open in Lagos, Abuja, Port Harcourt, and Kano.

Benefits

Persons who are accepted into the internship program will benefit from it in the following ways:
  • They will be paid a stipend equivalent to ₦130,000 per month
  • Receive health insurance (HMO) if they are interns for 6 months or more
  • Group Life Insurance will be provided to interns for as long as the internship lasts
  • they will gain real-world experience and skills that will prove valuable in their chosen careers

Eligibility

  • This internship is open to persons who have graduated from an institution of higher learning within the last four years.
  • Persons who meet the above criteria may apply. Candidates from underrepresented groups are especially encouraged to apply.
