Grants of up to €15,000 await successful recipients, empowering them to scale and expedite their civic-tech projects and endeavours. To qualify for funding, initiatives must align with the African Union’s Agenda 2063, the continent’s blueprint for inclusive and sustainable development. This call extends to local organizations and projects operating within African countries.

Benefits

Financial Support: Grants of up to €15,000 will be awarded through various rounds, focusing on specific geographic and thematic areas. Recipients of the African Union Civic Tech Fund can utilize it to expand and enhance existing initiatives.

Eligibility

  • African Organizations: Applicants must be organizations or initiatives registered or domiciled in any African Union Member State.
  • Tech-driven Projects: Projects must be dedicated to leveraging digital technology for civic engagement, transparency, and community-driven development.
  • Inclusivity: Initiatives should be led by and address the challenges faced by African women, youth, and marginalized groups.

  • Most Recent Organizational Report (or proof of activity in the last year)
  • Budget and Financial Management Structure
  • Sustainability Strategy
