  The Access Bank Group is organizing the Youth Transition Program, in collaboration with NerdzFactory Foundation (its implementation partner). Through this initiative, it seeks to equip young Nigerians with digital skills and allied capabilities which will place them on a path to taking advantage of global opportunities. This program is primarily targeted at persons in South Western Nigeria.

Young people who are looking to land a job in the contemporary economy (with its demand for tech skills) or want to take the entrepreneurial path are invited to apply for a place in the Youth Transition Program. If they are accepted, they will learn digital workspace skills, CV writing, LinkedIn optimization, and other crucial things. The program’s organizers say they’re expecting to enrol 750 applicants to take part in its 2-week virtual classes.

  • Prepare them for the job market
  • Gain skills that make them more employable than most
  • Build digital marketing skills that will serve them in paid employment or as entrepreneurs

Eligibility

This program is open to persons who meet the following criteria:
  • Must be a young graduate or a person in their final year at a tertiary institution
  • Applicants are ideally currently unemployed
  • They must be aged between 18 and 35 years
  • Should have a decent internet connection and be willing to devote time to the learning sessions throughout the 2 weeks for which the program will run
