Symptoms are important determinants of infections and diseases, and while some are usually very chronic while others can be easily waved off because they are not considered life threatening. But unless you are a medical practitioner, how can you differentiate between symptoms that are harmless and those that are not? A lot of people develop severe disease conditions simply because they did not pay proper attention to what their body was trying to tell them. Cancer for example can only be treated effectively if discovered on time. Since there are different symptoms associated with different diseases, we are only going to remind you of the commonest ones:
Hammering headaches: Painful headaches especially at one side of the head should never be ignored. Although it may be as a result of stress and fatigue, daily painful headaches should never be ignored because it might turn out to be an indication of internal head injury or trauma. Even the manufacturers of painkillers advise you to see your doctor if the symptoms do not subside after three days. It is an invaluable advice.
Severe belly pains: If you are not having menstrual pains or diarrhea and you keep feeling sharp pains in the belly, the best option is to go to a hospital as soon as possible to get checked out by a doctor. There are several delicate organs in the belly and you surely do not want to risk having an unnoticed infection within.
Recurring infections: The immune system is built in such a way that it should be able to resist microorganisms and foreign toxic materials through natural processes. However when you realize that you keep getting the same infections too often and it seems like the immune system is no longer able to curtail it, please go straight to the hospital. After tests are carried out, the doctor should be able to tell you why you keep having recurring infections.
Dizziness: Constantly feeling sleepy and off balance is not a symptom that should be taken for granted. It might be an indication of something wrong with the body. Unless you are convalescing, constant dizziness or tiredness should never be ignored. This symptom is particularly dangerous because it might cause an individual to lose balance and fall thereby hurting themselves or complicating matters.
