Since joining Twitter in 2018, she’s been involved in several corporate and humanitarian campaigns. In that time, she’s grown her following to over 300,000 individuals and has become one of the country’s top social media voices. Rinu, who lives in Lagos, has a diploma from the Moshood Abiola Polytechnic. She is currently studying Chemistry at Lagos State University. She was one of several facilitators of the #EndSARS protests that took place in 2020. Her role in those protests brought greater recognition as a campaigner for human rights. After the Lekki toll gate shootings in October, Rinu was named a representative on the Judicial Panel of Inquiry and Restitution for Victims of SARS and Related Abuses. She later stepped down from the panel, citing her distrust of the intentions of its conveners.

Rinu has since been honoured by the United Nations. Her picture was the cover of the UN’s home page, as the face of ‘peace, equality, and dignity on a healthy planet’. She has also been received by the US Consul General and US Ambassador to Nigeria. However, Rinu’s advocacy for humanitarian concerns precedes her involvement in the #EndSARS protests. She convened the Operation Sanitize movement at the height of the COVID-19 pandemic. The campaign distributed hand sanitisers to Nigerians. She also participated in an anti-rape protest following the murder of Uwavera Omozuwa, a student of the University of Benin, and Tina Ezekwe, a resident of Lagos. Besides her social justice advocacy, Rinu runs Savvy Reach, a digital marketing outfit, and Savvy Clothes, a corporate merchandising and streetwear brand. The former covers her engagement with business promotion and digital strategy; the latter is a growing vendor for original fashion and brand-building solutions. Late in 2020, the Global Media Group named Rinu as one of 31 women creating a positive impact in Africa. She was also a finalist at the 2020 edition of the Community and Human Rights Award (CAHR).
