Bed bugs are parasitic insects, and they feed mainly on human blood. They also feed on pets and other warm-blooded animals. Luckily, they are not known to spread diseases. • Infested items, especially clothing and luggage. Bed bugs can travel on your clothes, your furniture or your luggage from other infested places such as hotels, offices or apartments.
  • From animals such as pets.

  • Use pesticides: you can also use pesticides for hidden places bed bugs, like cracks and crevices, sofas and other furniture.
  • Vacuum your house: this will get rid of the eggs and bugs from surfaces, carpets, walls and mattresses.
To prevent your home from getting infested,
  • Check hotels: when travelling, examine beds and headboards for bedbugs. Use a flashlight if you have to.
  • Inspect your luggage, make sure bed bugs are not getting a free ride to your home through your luggage.
  • Deal with cracks and crevices, patch them up.
Here is a poem dedicated to bed bugs Good night, sleep tight, Don’t let the bedbugs bite. And if they do Then take your shoe And knock ‘em ‘til They’re black and blue!
