Pro-Health Community Physiotherapy will be celebrating World Physiotherapy Day on the 7th of September 2019.
This year, Community Physio is having conversations around Chronic Pain. The most common form of chronic pain around the world is Low Back Pain; most people have had back pain at one point in time. However, when pain lasts for more than three months, it’s called Chronic Pain.
World Physiotherapy Day
At Community Physio’s World Physiotherapy Day, Dr. Olugbade Temitayo will give a presentation on research looking to make technology – Artificial Intelligence – help determine movement patterns in an individual and thus help give a more accurate layout and pattern of motion. This knowledge will help Physios design an exercise routine that is more specific to the individual. Wearable Technology enthusiasts will particularly love this.
Olumide Okeowo, a Clinical Psychologist, will show attendees what really happens in our heads when we suffer chronically and how we can cope with pain in a daily basis.
Finally, Community Physios will take attendees through an exercise class. Other physiotherapy clinics based in Lagos will also be at the event, giving attendees the opportunity of finding a clinic nearest to them and booking an appointment.
