Nigerian celebrity singer, Mo’cheddah, has come out to talk about how she coped with depression for at least 4 years. This is coming on the heels of news of several foreign and local celebrities and everyday Nigerians who have taken their own lives after battling silently with depression. Soul-pop singer Ogoo has a heartwarming message for everyone in a similar situation.
The singer, in her newly released single titled ‘I’ll Be There’, tells the story of individuals with challenging situations. And all the emotions including heartbreak and self-doubt that lead to depression and in extreme cases, suicide. She urges anyone in a depressed state to remember that they are not alone, and should speak up and get help. Following the release of the song, she again plans to start a conversation/campaign encouraging people to freely discuss these social maladies and proffer possible solutions in groups and communities.
‘I’ll Be There’ is a song of hope, encouragement, and love for people who are experiencing difficult times and particularly for those fighting depression. Listen and share.
