The Peoples Elephant (Enyimba) took the lead through Victor Mbaoma in the 28th minute, but Anayo Ogbonna equalized for Adamawa in the 68th minute, before Farouk Mohammed converted a penalty in the 76th minute to hand the Aba-based side all three points.

Sunshine Stars won their first game in five months under new coach, Ayodeji Ayeni, after recording a 1-0 home win over Dakkada FC. Debutant, Uzoechi Ejike, paid the faith of his coach with a 45th-minute strike to hand the Akure-based side victory after an eighteen games winless run.
