  Norrsken, a global foundation working with entrepreneurs to solve the world’s biggest problems, has announced the commencement of applications for its 2024 cohort, set to be held at Norrsken House in Stockholm, Sweden, from July to September 2024.

What Norrsken Seeks

  • impact: Norrsken is committed to investing in startups aligned with all UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), with a particular emphasis on intentional impact. They welcome applicants from all sectors, emphasizing the importance of leveraging technology to address significant societal or environmental challenges.
  • Business Model and Technology: Norrsken places no specific requirements on business models but insists on intentional impact as a fundamental aspect. They seek companies where positive impact is ingrained in the business model, ensuring that as the business expands, so does its impact. Additionally, they prioritize startups with scalable potential that utilize technology for rapid growth.
  • Stage: Primarily geared towards supporting early-stage (pre-seed) startups, Norrsken seeks ventures that have identified a viable market opportunity and have progressed beyond the ideation stage, potentially with a minimum viable product (MVP). However, they are open to supporting startups at various stages of development, aiming to accelerate success from the most suitable starting point for each applicant.
  • Geography: Norrsken encourages applications from around the globe. The 8-week program will be conducted in Stockholm during the European summer, with remote participation discouraged.

Program Overview

  • Norrsken will kickstart the journey by investing $125,000 in selected startups, followed by an intensive 8-week sprint at Norrsken House. Participants will benefit from round-the-clock access to a workspace tailored to tech and impact entrepreneurs, along with personalized mentoring sessions and expert guidance to facilitate growth and scalability.
  • The culmination of the program will feature a pitch event, Norrsken Investor Day, providing startups with the opportunity to showcase their ventures to a wide audience of investors, potential partners, and clients. Additionally, Norrsken will host a final celebration, continuing to support alumni through peer networking, investor connections, and ongoing mentorship.

Application Process

  • Interested startups can apply by completing the application form, with Norrsken aiming to provide feedback within 3 weeks of submission. Given the rolling application process, early submissions are encouraged for optimal consideration.
  • Applications received by the end of April 2024 will be reviewed for the 2024 summer cohort, while those submitted thereafter will be considered for subsequent cohorts.
  • Successful applicants will proceed to a brief initial interview with the accelerator organizers, paving the way for further engagement and participation in the program. For access to the application form and further details, please visit HERE.
