Super Eagles of Nigeria forward, Kelechi Iheanacho, goal in the Carabao Cup has been nominated for Leicester City’s Goal of the Month for October 2019.

Iheanacho gifted the Foxes the lead in the seventh minute of the game against the English League One side at the Pirelli Stadium, after being teed up by his Belgian team mate Youri Tielemans. A brilliant finish from the former Manchester City star meant Leicester took the lead in a game that would go on to end 3-1 in favour of Leicester and ensure their place in the quarterfinal of the competition.

The goal was Iheanacho’s second in the competition for the former English Premier League champions this season. However, the Nigerian’s goal will have to see off competition from goals from other nominees including Jamie Vardy, James Maddison, Ayoze Perez, Khanya Leshabela, Tielemans and another Nigerian youngster, Josh Eppiah, to claim the prize. Fans of the club have until Sunday, November 10, 2019 to vote for their favourite goal.
