The kick-off date for the 2014 Nigeria Women Football League has been approved for March 1st, 2014.
The date was decided upon at the close of the 2013 Congress of the Nigeria Women Football League that was held at the Kogi State Government House.
The following resolutions were made: that the Congress passed an implicit vote of confidence on the Board of the Nigeria Women Football League headed by Chief (Mrs) Dilichukwu Onyedinma; the Congress adopted the formal registration of the Nigeria Women Football League and Women Premier and Professional Football Clubs with the Corporate Affairs Commission (C.A.C); and the Congress approved the setting up of a three-man committee to look into the existing Rules and Regulation of the League and come up with amendments where necessary.
Also, it was resolved that match officials for Premier League matches would come from outside the States of the teams involved.
