Super Eagles Uche Nwofor scored a second half brace to give the Super Eagles a resounding 2-0 win over their South African counterparts in the Nelson Mandela Challenge on Wednesday night. The VVV Venlo of Netherlands striker repaid Keshi’s faith in him with two well-taken goals to help Nigeria win the annual event. Mikel Obi, Kenneth Omeruo, and Emmanuel Emenike all missed the game but Obinna Nsofor, Victor Moses, Ogenyi Onazi and Shola Ameobi all returned to the Super Eagles fold after missing the recent fixtures. Super Eagles’ next fixture is a mouth-watering clash against the Malawians in a World Cup qualifier. The boys need just a draw to progress to the final stage of the qualification process for next year’s World Cup in Brazil.
