Super-Eagles

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will tackle the Azzuri of Italy in a friendly match in London on 18 November. The match will take place at Premier League side, Fulham’s home ground, The Craven Cottage by 7:45pm Nigerian time. The match is billed to take place just two days after the return leg of Nigeria’s World Cup qualifier against Ethiopia on 16th November. The Super Eagles are on course to make it to the Football Mundial after winning the first leg 2-1 in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. This will be Stephen Keshi’s first friendly outing against a European nation. The only European nation he’s faced as Eagles coach is Spain at this year’s Confederations Cup where they lost 3-1. This is the kind of high profile matches the Nigerian fans have been clamouring for. The Nigerian Football Federation has also announced a friendly between the Home based Eagles against Jordan on 28th October.
