Good day Nigeria, my name is Ezinne Akudo Anyaoha, I am 23 years old and Miss Nigeria 2013. Of course I have to officially introduce myself, not just because everyone seems to begetting my name and age wrong but because apart from interviews that I have already granted, this is my first public post.
First of all, I want to say thank you to everyone that supported me and everyone that has congratulated me in one way or the other, I remain grateful to God for this opportunity.
It’s been two weeks and life has been a little bit crazy, not like I was expecting anything different but I am still trying to adjust to my new life.
I have hardly had time for myself going from photo shoots to interviews and courtesy visits. That’s exactly what the English man would call an ‘obligation’.
I did a photo shoot for This Day Style with the very first Miss Nigeria Mrs Grace Oyelude and also for Genevive magazine, then I travelled to Abuja with Queen Celestine and Sadiq Olive for a live interview with AIT and after that we paid a courtesy visit to the Director General of the Nigerian Tourism Development Corporation (NTDC) and the Chairman of DAAR communications.
Recently, I also had to travel home for my elder sister’s wedding ceremony and it was amazing. The house was full, everyone was excited to see me and they all wanted pictures… that part of the journey was crazy for me because it was difficult handling or pleasing everyone but it was a wonderful experience to say the least.
Finally, I’m back to Lagos and reality has set in. Meetings upon meetings just to make sure that my pet project turns out great and my reign, successful. I’m really looking forward to this job and my prayer is that God reveals to me his sole reason for putting me in this position.
