You wake up at ungodly hours and jump into the bathroom, the cold water shocks your body into a freeze, your shirt is too rumpled, you can’t find your belt, your car refuses to start, you get to work by 9 am, your boss frowns at you the whole day and you almost have a stroke wondering if you’ll get the sack until it’s 5 pm and you exhale in relief. When you get home you eat the dry bread from yesterday and before your head even hits the pillow the alarm rings and it’s morning already. The cycle repeats, again and again. Through all these, there’s only one thought that keeps you going: the weekend! Yes, we all look forward to Saturdays and Sundays. Most people spend the weekend sleeping in, and while that is useful, you need to inculcate other activities for a better rejuvenating process. That’s why we’re suggesting these two movies for this weekend:
  • ROYAL HIBISCUS HOTEL
Yet another movie from EbonyLife Films who gave us Fifty and the Wedding Party. The Royal Hibiscus Hotel is a romantic comedy about a lady – Opeoluwa who returns from London to her parents in Nigeria who are excited about her return, but for different reasons. Dad wants her to sign the papers to sell their charming, but run-down, boutique hotel, while Mom wants to matchmake her. Meanwhile, Ope falls in love with Deji, a charming young businessman with a secret that threatens her plans to restore the hotel’s fortunes. Some of the cast include: Zainab Balogun, Kenneth Okolie, Deyemi Okanlawon, Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Jide Kosoko, Rachel Oniga, Kemi Lala Akindoju as, and Ini Dima-Okojie as Joyce
  • MEMOIRS OF 4
Memoirs of 4 are about four friends, successful and enlightened, who find themselves brought together by their interwoven lives while drowning in situations created by societal pressures. The movie reveals how they were able to overcome their challenges. It features Adesua Etomi, Linda Ejiofor, Blossom Chukwujekwu, Keira Hewatch. It was produced by Aarinola Odimayo and directed by Alex Mouth.
  • CRUSHED
The movie “Crushed” tells a gripping story of a newly wedded bride who seems to have everything going for her until she receives a scary gift. Her past keeps knocking on her door determined to crush her. It is directed by lancelot imasuen and stars seun akindele, sambasa nzeribe, lilian esoro, matilda obaseki and michael isokpan
  • DISGUISE
Disguise stars IK Ogbonna and Nancy Isime going undercover as the opposite sex in order to uncover what they (Males and females) really want.
