Bipolar

(A Tragicomedy directed by Muyiwa Ademola)

This movie brings to the fore issues associated with bipolar disorder. It is a story about identical twins separated at birth. They are both found to be mentally ill. The heartwarming drama will inspire viewers to never give up in the face of seemingly insurmountable situations. Bipolar stars Adedimeji Lateef, Afeez Eniola, Bimbo Oshin, Bolanle Ninalowo, Bukky Fagbuyi, jidekosoko, Kayode Olaiya (Aderupoko), Lanre Hassan (Iya Awero), Tayo Sobola, and Wale Akorede (Okunnu). It will be showing in cinemas this weekend.  

Funke

Funke is an inspirational comedy-drama inspired by true life events, whose main theme is role assignment based on gender. The movie, set in Abeokuta in 1996, is about a young girl whose passion for football and dream of playing for the Nigerian national team cannot be quenched. Despite her family’s disapproval of her participating in the game, which is considered an exclusive preserve for boys, she struggles to become a footballer. It is directed by Yemi “Filmboy” Morafa and Friday “Filmboy” Nwagwu and features Efa Iwara, Eniola Badmus, Frank Donga, Ini Dima Okojie, Jide Kosoko, Miracle Iyanda, Okey Uzoeshi, Segun Arinze,and Tomike Alanyande.
