Here are the movies you cannot but see this weekend; spoiler alert!

 HEAVEN’S HELL

Heaven’s Hell began screening last weekend and is still a must watch. The movie which stars Kalu Ikeagwu, Nse Ikpe-Etim, Bimbo Aknitola was inspired by true life events.

It shows 2 Lagos housewives, Alice Henshaw (Nse Ikpe Etim), and Tsola Aliu (Bimbo Akintola), who manages to hide their situations at home from each other even though they are best friends. Their lives although seemingly perfect, are a stifling darkness that threatens to snuff out their very breath. The film explored the ills of domestic violence, betrayal, and deceit.

NIGHT BUS TO LAGOS

Chico Ejiro is a popular name in the movie industry, with a number of movies and TV series to his name. ‘Night Bus To Lagos’ is his latest film.

Monica, after inheriting a fortune, meets and falls in love with Voke. Voke, a playboy extraordinaire may not be all she thinks. He has his eyes on the family money until his past catches up with him in the person of Ese who sold her parents property to give Voke a life, and Lana a celebrated OAP who is yet to recover from the public humiliation caused by the viral news of being jilted by Voke.

It stars Pete Edochie, Bolanle Ninalowo, Daniel Lloyd, Daniel Lloyd, Pete Edochie, Monalisa Chinda, Omawumi Megbele as is already catching on in Cinemas across the country.

GOLD STATUE

This Tade Ogidan movie spots an impressive cast including Femi Durojaiye, Gabriel Afolayan, Norbert Young, Ali Baba., Richard Mofe Damijo, and Sola Sobowale.

The comedy film follows the quest of two men for wealth. They embark on an adventure to find and retrieve a gold statue which according to myth, is a highly revered primordial deity. The gold is located in an impossible place – beneath a well-guarded and strongly fortified maximum prison but is worth 500million dollars, and this is all they care to know. They would put their reputation even their lives on the line to get it.

Makate Must Sell

A single young lady, just over 30 with a successful career, is under immense pressure from friends and family to get married. She has only 12 days to find the right guy. The search for Mr. Right seems endless, taking its toll on her as her hopes of ever finding him wanes. Just then she meets the man of her dreams!

The movie is incredibly hilarious, with a star cast led by Chugirl. It is directed by Don Dope who was behind the successful films ‘Taxi Driver’,’Tatu’ and ‘Oko Asewo’
