Connect Nigeria spoke with Julius Momnang, co-founder of 1suite accounting for small businesses regarding about what the interface will offer its clients and their long term plan for 1suite.com.ng   CN: Tell us about both your professional and educational background. JM: I am a Computer Science undergraduate from the University of Port Harcourt. I worked on programming with Microsoft technologies for over 8 years and I am an ex-Engineer of Office Online. Uche Aniche is the founder of Havilah & Hills a Port Harcourt based Web Development and Marketing Communications strategy-  a serial Entrepreneur with background in Marketing Communication and Web Development.   JuliusMomnang     CN: What is the story behind 1Suite? When did you start your company? JM: 1suite has been in the making for over a year now. We started off trying to build a solution for our internal accounting need and somehow realized it was a need other small businesses had. That was when we decided to expand our scope to accommodate other small businesses. CN: What inspired the name 1Suite? JM: It came out of the need to have a single piece of software that presents a whole lot of solvable possibilities for accounting problems. CN: What services do your company offer? JM: 1Suite offers simplified business financial recording and analysis as well as financial inclusion for those businesses that would ordinarily fall outside of the bank radar for funding. CN: Who is your target audience? JM: Our target audience for 1Suite includes those who own these types of businesses – photography, auto repair centers, car dealerships, graphic designers, multimedia houses, law offices and other small businesses that are interested in putting their accounts, therefore their house in order.   CN: What makes your clients’ experiences unique? JM: For starters, we provide convenience, we help cut costs, and then we improve your business value. We do this by creating invoices with our system that you can easily sort and group so that you see what is going on with your business without doing any additional work. We save time for our clients by automating an important routine chore so that you can invest that time in working on your business. CN: So far, how would clients/customers describe the services you give? JM: We encourage that people find our clients and ask them to describe the experience of working with 1suite. They need to find out about what we do on their own independently. CN: Did you face any challenges starting out? JM: The challenge we faced starting out was in getting funds for the project. We are however overcoming this as we now have those clients and partners who are interested in what we do. CN: What is your unique selling point and why should your clients choose 1Suite.com.ng for their needs? JM: We give simplicity. At every point, we try to ensure the simplicity of our system. We are making the system easy to use for almost anyone without any skill level so that way, you don’t have to be an expert to start using our service. We have advanced tools for experts in the field to do their jobs. On 1suite, there is something for everyone.     UcheAniche   CN: Are there books which you can point to that have impacted you positively? JM: For me, they are “The Purpose Driven Life” by Rick Warren, “Mr. Fantastic” by Fela Durotoye and “The Broker” by John Grisham UA: Those books are “The Power of Positive Thinking” by Napoleon Hill, “Think & Grow Rich” by Napoleon Hill and “You don’t Need A Title to Be a Leader” by Mark Sanborn. CN: What is your long term plan for 1Suite.com.ng?
