With over 700 million active LinkedIn users, it is a great platform to promote your business, gain traction, and generate more sales. Several businesses are already implementing strategies that will help them gain massive results.
In this article, I will be sharing tips for your business if you want to go into LinkedIn marketing. Does this look like what you crave? Let’s get right into it!
Revamp your profile
What you might be doing wrong right now could be that profile of yours. Just like Instagram which is big on bios, LinkedIn requires that you completely set up your profile as a business page. The reason for this is you will be perceived as authentic and professional. To gain an initial following, LinkedIn provides you with the opportunity to invite your connections to follow your page. This is similar to the provisions of Facebook. Take advantage of that. However, you will need to have some content before making your page public and inviting followers. Thus, let’s talk about content.
Content over everything
On LinkedIn, as well as other social media platforms, high engagement and followership are a result of content quality. This means that your content should be solving a particular problem in your niche.
Since LinkedIn is a professional space with job seekers, recruiters, and simply professionals in different fields, you should be able to deliver quality content that will educate and inspire them.
Draft a social media content calendar, just like you will do for other social media platforms, and stick to it. It could be pictures, written content, or graphics that will be tailored to inspire users to follow their dreams and the path they have set out to walk on. You could also use the content suggestion tool, which is available on LinkedIn. So, leverage that too. Doing this will make your page valuable for your audience. And with more people being engaged, you will attract more followers.
You might be asking; how will this boost my business? Hold on. Note that people will not follow you because you asked them to buy your product or subscribe to your service. They will follow up because you are giving them good quality content. This means when you decide to post your product/service alongside, they are more likely to want to patronize you.
Consistency
This is like the icing on the cake. When you do these other things without consistency, it will be a flop. Whatever plan you draft out for your LinkedIn page, you have to be consistent; keep at it. Similar to Instagram, Twitter or any other social media platform, being consistent on LinkedIn will give you an amount of credibility. Engage in industry-based conversations with other companies and professionals. Get into the traffic of other businesses and individuals. Just like a physical community, engage and build a community around your brand with diligence and consistency.
Here you have it, my tips for LinkedIn Marketing. The year is just half gone. Take the bull by the horn and get started with LinkedIn!
