Wilfred Onyinye Ndidi is the definition of determination and purposefulness. The Leicester City forward has come a long way in such a short period of time, still there’s no stopping this youngster from achieving even more in the coming years. Ndidi is the first child of three kids, the only son of a serving military man in the Nigerian army. He lived his early years in the Military Cantonment Barracks in Ikeja, Lagos where he started playing football at the Command Children School before he moved to Nath Academy. Ndidi grew up playing with older kids and today he ascribes his agility and toughness on the pitch to the days when he was pushed around on the small field by the older kids. Ndidi’s family were adamantly against his dream of pursuing football as a professional career but in order to fulfill his dream, he disobeyed his father’s wishes.Ndidi’s Professional Career
Ndidi spent his young years at Nath Academy in Lagos where he developed his skill as a forward, but his first role for a Nigerian national team was a central defender at the 2013 Africa U-17 Championships. However he failed to make the cut for the Golden Eaglets team that eventually won the 2013 FIFA U-17 World Cup in the United Arab Emirates. Ndidi started his European career in the Belgian Pro League with KRC Genk on 31 January 2015 against Charleroi in a 1–0 away defeat. He played for 74 minutes of the game, and was instrumental with distributed passes. During the Belgian League play-off game against Club Brugge, Ndidi scored a long-range goal from 30 yards, which was later named the goal of the season in the Belgian league. The ball is said to have travelled at a speed of 111km/hr. His amazing goal turned the eyes of fans to his side as clubs began to watch as the youngster easily moved past defenders and made clear chances for teammates.Ndidi Was Good Business For Genk

Ndidi is loved by LCFC fans. He has done remarkably well for the football club since he moved. In the 2017/2018 season, Ndidi has won more tackles than any other player in the English league. LCFC fans dedicated a son to the lad at the King Power Stadium.Ndidi Special Number
