Award winning Nollywood actress,
Kate Henshaw, has announced her inclusion in the Jury for CBS’s new TV series ‘World’s Best’. Her excitement could easily be perceived in her Instagram post:
The Jury, referred to as ‘The Wall of the World’ comprises some of the world’s most accomplished experts in different fields of entertainment, selected from 50 different countries. Kate Henshaw, along with other members of the wall, will be helping the three judges determine who emerges winner of the competition.
Kate has won a number of awards including multiple ‘Best Actress’ awards for her roles in the numerous movies she starred in since her first film role in the 1993 movie ‘When the Sun Sets’. Her success in the industry has also earned her several endorsements from international brands, including Samsung Mobile, Globacom, and Blessing Perfumes UK. Before the ‘When the Sun Sets’ auditions, she had trained as a Medical microbiologist and practiced in Bauchi state General Hospital, Bauchi.
Henshaw was involved in a number of social activism campaigns, including the
#BringBackOurGirls Campaign, and in 2015
ventured into politics, running for a seat in the House of Representatives, but was appointed Special Adviser, Liaison, Lagos, by the Cross River state governor after she lost in the elections.
The World’s Best
‘The World’s Best’ is a global talent competition is created by Mark Burnett and Mike Darnell. Unlike other similar TV shows before it, this one is not limited to a certain country or geographical location, or genre. Contestants are expected to impress the three judges Ru Paul, Drew Barrymore, and Faith Hill, before facing the ‘Wall of the World’. The most impressive act will be selected at the end of the competition, and crowned ‘The World’s Best’.
The premiere episode of the TV series will be showing on the 3rd of February 2019 on the CBS Network and will feature British Comedian and actor James Corden as host.
