The Joint Admissions and Matriculations Board (JAMB) will begin selling forms for the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculations Examinations (UTME) on March 20. The board’s Head of Public Relations, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, disclosed this on Monday in Bwari, FCT.

According to Dr. Benjamin, the date was set after JAMB reached an agreement with other examination bodies on the harmonization of their examination timetables. The examination bodies had met on January 24 to decide on how their calendars could be aligned.

“We will begin the sale of the admission forms on March 20, while UTME is scheduled to hold in May,” Dr. Fabian said. “We are ready to commence the sale of the 2017/2018 admission forms for UTME and Direct Entry forms on the said date.”

The forms will be on sale until April 19, 2017.

A mock test will be organized by JAMB for candidates who want to have a feel of what the actual UTME examination will be like. Information on JAMB’s twitter handle indicates that the date for the test, which is to be conducted before the UTME, will be disclosed soon. It will however not be compulsory to take the mock test, as it has been made optional by the board.
