Super Eagles ace midfielder, Alex Iwobi, has stated that he is not threatened by the move by Arsenal to sign Crystal Palace forward, Wilfried Zaha.

The Gunners have long been linked with a move to sign the Ivorian footballer all through the summer transfer window, but have failed to close on the deal for the 26-year-old.

In a recent move, Arsenal offered £55m plus Reiss Nelson for Zaha, but Palace are adamant on selling the player for no penny shy of £80m.

Zaha is reportedly eager to make a move to Arsenal, but may see his dream unaccomplished with the current bid-war between both sides.

Nigeria international, Iwobi is keen on having Zaha over at the Emirates, but he is also aware that the move could place him under a lot of pressure in his current role at the club.

The winger was quoted as saying that signing Zaha would “add more stress” to his position at Arsenal, however, he is willing to take on the challenge if the Ivorian completes a move to the club.

I am not one to chicken out. I have had it all over the years, being told I’m not good enough.

So whenever the chance comes I always try and prove I should be starting. But it’s going to be difficult if Zaha comes. He will add more stress.
