President of the Nigerian Boxing Board of Control (NBB of C), Dr. Rafiu Ladipo, has called on companies within Nigeria to emulate GOtv and invest in developing the nation’s youths via boxing.
Ladipo made this known yesterday at the opening ceremony of the fourth edition of the
GOtv Boxing NextGen Search, staged at the MKO International Stadium, Abeokuta.
The NBB of C boss believes that initiatives like the GOtv Boxing Night and GOtv Boxing NextGen Search will help many Nigerian youths given to crimes and other anti-social activities turn a new leaf and find hope through
boxing.
“There are many companies making money in the country, but are unwilling to invest in the youths of the country. I urge them to consider doing so. We can produce another Anthony Joshua if other companies emulate GOtv.”

The GOtv Boxing NextGen Search 4 recorded a turnout of over 150 young boxers, the highest number of entries since its first edition in 2015.
