Impressions From The Movie Premiere ‘Headgone’

The most anticipated movie of 2014, Headgone, was exclusively premiered on 22, November 2014. Headgone is a comic relief for everyone. As far as I am concerned Headgone is one of the best comedy movies ever produced in contemporary Nigeria. The movie features ‘A list’ Nigerian comedians, actors, and musicians like Tuface Idibia, Basket Mouth, Alibaba, Zack Orji, Wale Ojo, Sound Sultan, Saka and Baba Dee. The movie was produced by Naija Ninja’s production and was directed by Dare Fasasi a.k.a Baba Dee. The mix of well-crafted dialogue and well-framed cinematography are some of the interesting things about this movie. Baba Dee said the movie took two years to research. Headgone sheds light on the thin line between sanity and insanity, focusing on how mentally ill people could stop being stigmatized. The quality of the movie is impressive especially considering that it was produced here in Nigeria. Over hundred million naira (N100M) was spent to produce the movie. It will be in Nigerian cinemas by December and it will be also premiering in some other parts of the world like Germany and the UK.
