Going on a holiday? GTBank shares some essential travel tips:
1. Your card must be activated before first use. To activate your Naira MasterCard, please use the PIN Selection terminal at any GTBank branch. To activate your GTBank Dollar Card, please call GTConnect.
2. Remember that the annual spend limit on your Naira MasterCard is $150,000.
3. Check that your card has not expired or will not expire during your trip abroad.
4. Ensure that your contact details with the Bank are up to date so that you get your card transaction alert via SMS or e-mail.
5. Confirm which of your accounts is your default account as most POS/ATMs abroad do not give you the option to choose which account to transact with.
6. Check that you remember the correct PIN for your card before travelling and always remember to protect your PIN.
7. When paying via POS, do not allow the sales attendant to go out of sight with your card & always remember to collect your card from him/her.
