Do not let the simple look of the human nose fool you, it’s quite a very complex organ, trust me, the nose knows. Our nose is one of the facial points of identity, it defines our appearance. It’s a miracle organ, in fact, it has extraordinary superpowers. Here are cool facts about the human nose we may not be aware of: Determines your attractiveness: Right in the middle of the face, the nose sits supreme. It plays a noticeable beautifying role, or the lack of it, to our appearance, as it provides harmony and balance to the face. People appreciate your facial attractiveness by unconsciously estimating the pointy organ. The size, shape, and proportions of the nose provide the beauty or handsomeness of a person. The shape can be used to identify your ethnic background: Yes, it can be used to trace your ancestral origins. Do you know that your DNA can determine the shape?  It snitches on your geographical origin because your nose evolves from generation to generational, adapting to a particular environment. The shape is a signature used to indicate a person’s ethnicity, race, age, and sex. Women smell better than men do: Yes, you read correctly, women have a higher sensitivity to smell than men do. Even though nose in women grows until the age of 15-17, and men grow till 17-19, still women have a larger more developed sense of smell. Women power! Does your taste job: I know we all believe that it’s the function of the tongue, well, our nose plays a key role in the tasting. The sixth sense you believe you have when you are attracted to a person is derived from a small accessory organ found inside those small holes called the “vomeronasal organ”. The smell of human perspiration has a direct effect on sexual receptors in the brain.
