Most people are very sensitive to a change in temperature of their environment and each individual reacts differently. During the cold seasons, flu and cold are usually the most popular reactions, while during hot seasons some people get rashes on the skin. Since most of these reactions are usually temporary, they can are usually written off. However, while they last, some can be quite annoying and uncomfortable. If you are susceptible to heat rashes, here are some ways by which you can easily avoid them:

1. Frequent showers: Once you feel your body temperature becoming hotter, the quickest way to get it down is by having a cool shower. This way you get to protect your skin from germs and also maintain a stable body temperature. Bathing with cool water at least twice a day will minimize the occurrence of skin rashes by making sure that your skin is clean and free from prickly heat.

2. Less lotion: Applying body lotion each time you take a bath may not be the best way to go if you want to avoid heat rashes. The logic behind this is to simply check the atmosphere to determine whether you need to rub more cream on your skin or leave it to breathe. Applying layers of cream and lotion onto the skin during the hot seasons will encourage you to sweat more which usually results in rashes.

3. Wear breathable clothes: Thick clothing are for cold weathers when you have to protect yourself from the cold breeze and since the reverse is the case during hot seasons, you need to wear light clothing and breathable clothing. This simply means that you have to wear clothes that allow air into your body as much as possible. Cotton made clothes, armless or round neck tops are very much welcome.

4. Powder: Aside from the cosmetic powder you apply onto the face for beautification, mentholated dusting powder should also be applied to the body for protection from heat. They usually possess antiseptic and soothing properties that help to prevent prickly heat and absorb excessive perspiration. Dab a little on sweaty areas to prevent rashes.

5. Fresh air: One of the major reasons why rashes show up is because the skin is being deprived of fresh air. To prevent heat rashes, ensure you get as much fresh air as possible. Sitting under a tree to enjoy the fresh breeze is not the same as employing the use of fans.
