The new Kevin Nwankwo film, “Muna”, is definitely a huge turn in the Nigerian film industry.
For those naysayers who think Nollywood can never produce a standard action movie, “Muna” proves you wrong, and guess who’s pulling all the stunts, none other than the beautiful Adesua Etomi-Wellington.
‘Muna’ is the story of an energetic little girl raised by her grandmother. Her determination to make a better living for herself and her grandmother introduces her to traffickers who ship her away with other defenseless victims. The once cheerful little girl grows into a bitter woman consumed by vengeance for those who stole her innocence.
Her revenge plan is complicated by love, secrets and betrayal as she is left to decide either to remain imprisoned by her past or to be set free by love.
The film is written by Unoma Nwankwor, directed by Kevin Nwankwor and shot in California, USA, Asaba, Nigeria and Lawrenceville, Georgia.
