By David Stephen. Ekiti state governor, Dr. Kayode Fayemi recently returned from a tour of Asia, in line with his move for development and advancement for Ekiti. His itinerary with his team, took him to China and South Korea, where he made moves that will return progress to Ekiti and Nigeria. In China, he attended a Chinese African Forum, meeting with US Export-Import – EXIM – Bank officials for discussion on infrastructural and agricultural development in his state. He also visited South Korea, where he signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Samsung to build an Engineering Academy in Ado-Ekiti, the Ekiti capital. The MoU was signed in an event, at the Head Office of Samsung with its Executive Vice-President, IT Solutions, Seong Woo Nam in attendance. Ekiti state is moving fast in technology deployment with computer distribution to schools and e-learning for students. The academy will play a part in technology research, development and manufacturing in Ekiti and Nigeria.
