The presidency praised the APC-led Lagos State government after a Nigerian doctor who contracted the Ebola Virus has reportedly recovered fully.
The doctor who treated Patrick Sawyer, the Liberian-American who brought Ebola into the country, at First Consultant Hospital, and was subsequently infected with the virus, has recovered and has been discharged from the isolation centre in Lagos.
The words of praise, given by Doyin Okupe, a Special Assistant to President Goodluck Jonathan on public affairs came as a surprise to Nigerians on social media due to several exchanges of words between the PDP-led Federal Government and the APC-led Lagos State government.
@Doyinokupe “We Nigerians are God’s own people. An Ebola victim has fully recovered and 4 others on their way out. Kudos to LASG. Glory be to God”, Mr. Okupe tweeted.
