Nigeria’s Men Basketball team, D’Tigers, dismantled their West African counterparts, Mali, to win their first game at the Afrobasket Championship in Abidjan. D’Tigers recorded a comfortable 74-59 victory over Mali, to secure their first win and top Group D. Ike Diogu was the star of the show, amassing 19 points and 7 rebounds. He was closely followed by Al Farouq Aminu who finished the game with 15 points and 10 rebounds. D’Tigers will play their next game on August 23 against the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
