At Data Science Nigeria, the Ai+ membership is aimed at driving inclusiveness, fairness and accountable learning that catalyses community spirit, ethical values, quality and excellence.
With the lockdown cutting some people off from their source of income and hubs that provide internet network, the learning momentum of some of the members of the data science/Ai community members across the country has been affected. Students do not have unlimited access to schools’ or offices’ free Wi-Fi like before. Everyone is at home and there is limited cash to buy things.

Ai+ membership framework has segmented programmes targeted at students in secondary schools, higher institutions, core PhD/postdoc Ai researchers, Ai professionals in industries, Business executives and enthusiasts.

Although anyone can have access to all Data Science Nigeria events, there are exclusive benefits that members of Ai+ community will enjoy. Examples are: internship recommendation, job placements, international conference travel grants, local event travel grants, hands-on data exposure for capacity building, mentorship, start-up support/funding etc.
In a bid to support the Ai+ community, Data Science Nigeria will be providing 1,000G of data in units of 10G, 5G, 3G, 2G and 1G to support students who are currently working on research projects, ongoing online classes and mission-critical personal development.
Qualification criteria
- Applicants must have no other internet alternatives during this lockdown period
- Applicants must have a major task that requires internet and must be willing to share the nature of the project with details
- Applicant must be a member of Data Science Nigeria or a past attendee of the Data Science Nigeria program
- Applicant must have an Ai+ Membership number (If you are not a member of the Ai+ community, you can fill the form to get registered).
- Applicant must be willing to share their Kaggle URL to verify their profile
- Applicant must be willing to share their Zindi URL to verify their profile
