Cynthia Morgan has been away from the spotlight for a while, but she is back, even though she claims she never left at all, and she has a brilliant new video too. The dancehall queen has ditched her past, having recently changed her stage name to Madrina and wiped her social media clean of her pictures as ‘Cynthia Morgan’, with the hope sof forging a better public image. From all indications going by her social media posts, she has also changed labels too, leaving Jude Okoye’s Northside Entertainment for her own imprint The Cynthia Morgan Company (TCMC).

Track record

She has several hit songs including “Dutty Stepping”  featuring General Pype, “German Juice”, and “No camera’s” which was one of her last songs, released in 2017 and several awards including the Best Reggae Single at the 2016 Headies. Her new song titled “Billion Dollar Woman” is a classic dancehall beat, with a distinct positive message about self-empowerment for women. Madrina, formerly Cynthia Morgan, is a Nigerian born songwriter and singer who started singing at age 3 as a backup singer for her mother’s musical band. She moved to Lagos in 2008 where she got signed to  Jude Okoye’s record label after which she released two chart-topping singles “Don’t Break My Heart” and “Lead Me On”.
