Career of the Week – Alheri Bingi, Media Sales Representative

Alheri Bingi holds a degree in History and International Studies from the University of Ilorin, and an A2 French degree from Alliance Francaise. She also has a certification in Business Management and is a member of the Nigerian Institute of Management (NIM). Alheri writes and blogs, and prior to her current role she was a media sales representative at tolet.com.ng, a fashion stylist at Spice TV, and a personal assistant at RM Looks.
CN: What are your primary responsibilities at work?
Selling advert spaces, maintaining relationships, and getting our magazine out there.

Meeting new people, building new connections, and improving my communication skills.

The rude reception one sometimes gets from clients, clients who don’t show up or arrive late, and promise breakers.
CN: What advice do you wish someone had given you as an undergraduate?
Be prepared.
CN: If there were any other career that you would choose, what would it be?
Application creation.
