Afrolems

Apart from the fact that it is necessary for survival, food is also one of the joys of life- good food that is. This is why the “food blog” is a pleasure for those who love to cook, and those who love to eat. Afrolems.com is a blog run by Atim Ukoh, the CEO of Afrolems. She is a part-time social media trainer and a full time Nigerian Chef. Afrolems is all about the presentation of food and education on Nigerian Recipes. The sheer abundance of African recipes on afrolems.com is enough to send the adrenalin coursing through the entire being of any true chef. Whether you’re new to cookery, or you’d know your way around the kitchen even with a blindfold on, be assured that you can learn something from this blog. Atim’s passion is palpable and her style is unique; you can feel her presence with you, guiding you through the stages of each meal through her words. Each ingredient is clearly described, each step explicitly outlined. There are also links to videos, but what we really love most about this blog is the photos; high-definition photos of creative and yummy meals to encourage you in your pursuit of culinary expertise. Each recipe is accompanied by a picture of a well-prepared dish that proclaims loudly, “you can do it!” While the focus is on Nigerian recipes, recipes from other parts of Africa are occasionally featured, the latest of which (at the time of writing this) is Ghanaian Yam Balls (Yele Kakro). This blog doesn’t just give you recipes. There are How To posts (How to Clean Shrimps and Prawns, for instance), and posts on the health benefits of certain foods (like Why Eating Okro Is Good For You). The goal is to make your culinary education holistic. The blog keeps followers updated, listing articles and posts written by Atim Ukoh on other websites. There are also restaurant reviews and promo posts bringing various African eateries and food services to the attention of potential customers. If you’re passionate about food or would like to know more about African cuisine, Afrolems is the place to go. Check it out! www.afrolems.com ConnectNigeria.com…Need it? Search it, Find it!
