Plans to host the second edition of the Mutual Benefits National Badminton Championships in Lagos, have been set in order by the Badminton Federation of Nigeria (BFN).

Registration for the championships

The games will hold from 6th of November till November 10th 2018, at the Mutual Benefits/Police Badminton Hall, Police College, Ikeja. All entries are expected to be made on the BFN website on or before Friday, 19th October 2018.

In a press release by the BFN, all head coaches must log on to the BFN website to enroll their players via a link the will be sent to their email addresses. The BFN will not entertain late entries, as registered players for the championships are expected to be at the venue on Monday, 5th November 2018, to sort out logistics issues.

Certified players will compete in Men’s Singles (MS), Women’s Singles (WS), Men’s Doubles (MD), Women’s Doubles (WD), and Mixed Doubles (XD). No player will be allowed to compete in more than two events.

Prior to the start of the tournament, team managers will converge for a technical meeting at the conference room of the venue on Tuesday, November 6th 2018.

At the opening ceremony of the 5-day event, former CEO of the National Anti-doping Committee (NADC), Mr. Femi Ayorinde, will educate attendees on doping and its dire consequences.

As part of the partnership agreement between the BFN and God Is Good Motors, all accredited players traveling to Lagos for the event, will be given a discount of 60% off their transport fares at any God is Good bus terminal across the country.
