AY’s online live show is an example of the positive impact social media has had on brands during the coronavirus pandemic. Leveraging Instagram Live, AY saw the opportunity to digitalise his comedy show and it paid off.
The lockdown and need for social distancing haven’t deterred brands from reaching their audience through the connectivity that social media has to offer. Social media has seen a surge in activity and buzz stemming from different industries around the country. Perhaps the COVID-19 pandemic may result in a new era where many brands take advantage of the goldmine that is social media thereby changing consumer behaviour.
