Today is Good Friday all over the world. It is a day marked by Christians in remembrance of the sacrifice made by Jesus Christ for mankind. Christ left his heavenly and perfect abode and dwelt amongst imperfect men in order to redeem them and bring them back into the marvellous light of the father.

Jesus Christ is the perfect model of what leadership is supposed to look like. Every quality you can think about is embodied by Christ. Thus enforced a tweet from Pastor Sam Adeyemi.

He uses the above tweet to juxtapose Jesus’ style and what is obtainable today. Pastor Sam is simply saying that as opposed to the self-serving nature of modern-day leaders, they should put first the interest of those who have entrusted to them the leadership position they occupy. A good shepherd is one who will thrust his hands into the mouth of a lion in order to deliver his sheep. Jesus explaining his love and sacrifice, asked this question:
“What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and loses one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the pasture and go after the one that is lost, until he finds it?  Luke 15:4
These things were paramount about the life of Christ: Respect, Love, and Sacrifice. As we celebrate the death and resurrection of Jesus, this Easter, we all should take conscious and particular interest in the manner in which he related with his followers and even those who did not follow him.
