Google invites aspiring and existing developers to apply for the Google Africa Developer Scholarship. It has designed this program to equip tech enthusiasts with the skills they need to become professional developers. The program will prepare them to take advantage of opportunities in the global tech ecosystem.

Persons who want to go further into the program will need to prove that they are interested in learning the skills that Google provides training for. They can do this by registering for their selected track, completing the program requirements, and taking part in Andela meetups and challenges.

As participants advance through the program, they will learn in-demand Google developer skills. After they complete the program, they will get the chance to take an Associate Android Developer or Associate Cloud Engineer Google Certification exam. Google will cover the cost of the certification exam.

Persons who receive the Google Africa Developer Scholarship will benefit from it in the following ways:

  • Gain and develop vital skills and prepare to take the Associate Developer Certification exam

Eligibility

The Google Africa Developer Scholarship program is open to persons who are at least 18 years old and resident in an African country.

The Application Process

Anyone who wants to apply for this program can do so through the link provided at the end of this article. They will need to complete the onboarding survey, and fill out a registration form. They should also watch the available Pluralsight skills content, or (alternatively) complete the ‘Associate Android Developer’ skill IQ.
