  The Africa Blockchain Institute has announced that it is receiving applications from startup founders who want to take part in the Africa Blockchain Incubation Program. The incubator is open to persons who are building blockchain-based solutions for markets on the continent.

The Africa Blockchain Incubation Program will give its participants the opportunity to undergo training, receive mentorship, and access the resources that they need to develop and scale their startups and solutions. The training will equip them with technical skills related to blockchain technology, entrepreneurship and business management. They will also get the chance to pitch their idea to investors.

Eligibility

Applicants should meet these criteria:
  • Must be aged between 20 and 35 years
  • There should be a strong business case for their product or solution
  • The solution should address challenges faced by Africans in Africa
Note: Priority will be given to female applicants.

Important Details

Applications will remain open until January 31. Participants will be selected and informed about their status throughout the month of February. The incubation will take place virtually, and will last for four months (March 1-June 16). It will end with a Demo Day (also slated for June), which will be an in-person event in Kigali, Rwanda.
