  Cascador, a business growth platform, has announced the 2024 edition of its Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative, a program aimed at providing selected entrepreneurs with strong financial support, intensive training, and mentorship.

The Cascador Entrepreneurial and Leadership Initiative will nurture participants’ business skills, enhance their leadership capabilities, and contribute to Nigeria’s economic development.
In 2024, the initiative will be giving out a grant of $50,000 to 10 Nigerian entrepreneurs at a program billed to take place at the Lagos Business School from November 4–10, 2024. African entrepreneurs selected for the program stand to gain a unique opportunity to grow their businesses and improve their leadership skills through collaborations with respected Nigerian and American entrepreneurs. Over the years, the program has generated interest from entrepreneurs in other parts of Africa, including Kenya, Lesotho, and Ghana, but the primary focus area is Nigeria.

“There is so much good work to be done here in Lagos. Our participants benefit from being part of a local network that supports and nurtures their growth,”
Dave Delucia, the co-founder of Cascador, said.
“Our primary focus remains on Nigeria to build a strong, supportive community within the country.”

Features of the program

  1. A five-day intensive workshop addressing the challenges of starting and running a business in Nigeria.
  2. Participants will receive a six-month mentorship to help them properly channel the skills and knowledge acquired during the program.
  3. Each participant will be given a personal development stipend of $5,000.

Selection Process

  1. The program focuses on mid-stage entrepreneurs whose businesses have lasted at least two years.
  2. The selection process is highly competitive, and only 10 fellows will be selected.
