Pass.ng was founded by Samson Abioye to better the chances of students acing the mandatory annual exam, JAMB. Together with Abayomi Akanji, Imole Oluyemi, and Joshua Adebagbo, Samson launched the service after seeing how low the number of students who aced Jamb were in comparison to those who did not pass. They designed Pass.ng as a self-testing platform where students can prepare for University-entrance exams at the comfort of their own homes.

In order to make the Pass.ng more accessible for students all over Nigeria, the mobile version was released in 2014 and has since been augmented with more features to make learning much more worthwhile.

As a testament to Pass.ng’s’s value to pre-university students in Nigeria, it was endorsed by the Joint Administration and Matriculation Board (JAMB) as a credible platform for learning. Also, the service was awarded The Future Awards Africa Prize For Education in 2017. The mobile app has been downloaded over 100,000 times and has decent reviews on the Google Play store.

Meet The App

Pass.ng is home to a good number of standardised tests such as JAMB, WAEC, POST-UTME, Junior WAEC, NECO, Common Entrance, and N-Power. Once registered on the platform, students can begin practising questions on any of these exams for free after which they will be required to pay a certain charge if they want to gain access to over 50,000 questions, answers, and explanations for all the exams available on the app.

Other features of the app include:

– A performance analysis graph that shows students how well they are performing in their study and practice endeavours.

– A Leaderboard to boost healthy competition among students and inspire them to work harder.

– A discussion room where students can lay out their complaints and pose their questions.

– A detailed summary of the JAMB novel released for each year,

– A location icon that helps students find tutorial centres around them.

When it comes to its user interface, the app has great aesthetic appeal and is neatly designed to ensure that users can easily navigate it. Overall, Pass.ng scores very high on a large scale for the quality educational services it offers to students all over Nigeria. Its role in getting students familiarised with standardised exams like JAMB, WAEC, NECO, and the likes is undeniably significant and has been recognised multiple times on various occasions.
