Oga Taxi is the first ride-hailing app to emerge in Nigeria, following the likes of Uber and Taxify. Through its appealing service and integrated features, Oga Taxi is actively changing the transport game in Nigeria and making mobility for the everyday passenger more cost-effective and hassle-free. Oga Taxi was launched in 2016 by two entrepreneurs, Michael Nnamadim and Ameh Adoko, with its headquarters in Abuja, Nigeria.   Meet The App In a bid to cut costs of passenger fees and ensure transparency, Oga Taxi recently introduced its social ride-pooling feature. The feature enables passengers to choose between two ride options namely, Classic and a pooled ride. Passengers who go for the pooled ride can choose with whom they will ride with by reviewing profiles of people going their way. This guarantees them a discount of up to 40%.   Another recently integrated feature on the app is the Splyt global roaming API. The API enables bookings between companies using the API.  In this sense, an existing Oga Taxi user who travels to another country can book for a ride through the Oga Taxi app and the ride will then be operated by the prevalent transport company in that country. For instance, an Oga Taxi user who travels to Kenya can book a ride through the Oga Taxi app and the ride will be operated by Kenya’s transport company, Little Cab.

  Following the unveiling of new features on the app, Oga Taxi aims to expand its coverage to other cities in Nigeria and West Africa. Oga Taxi is currently operational in Abuja, Lagos, and Port Harcourt   Getting The App Oga Taxi is available on Google Play store in both rider and driver formats. The latter which is called Oga Driver connects drivers to people in search for a ride in Nigeria.
