This program is designed to empower agripreneurs (SMEs) active in the agribusiness sector to understand and address the impact of climate change on their businesses. By adopting climate-smart practices and tapping into climate financing opportunities, participants can adapt and mitigate the effects of climate change effectively.

The African Food Changemakers BRACE program offers an intensive capacity development experience that combines training, peer learning, interactive sessions, and practical applications.3


  • Practical assignments aimed at “greening” participants’ agribusinesses, enhancing their readiness to access climate financing opportunities.
  • A self-paced six-week online learning program featuring a relevant and practical climate curriculum.
  • Engagement in peer-to-peer learning, networking, experience sharing, group discussions, and collaborative problem-solving.
  • Access to industry experts, trainers, and fellow agripreneurs through live interactive sessions and mentoring.
  • Information, resources, and tools are provided to support investment decisions leading to sustainable climate solutions.
  • Opportunity to join the AFC hub community for additional resources, data, funding support, and market linkages, fostering business visibility, profitability, growth, and success.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Age between 18 and 40 years.
  • Registration and operation of an agribusiness.
  • Ownership, representation, or decision-making role in AgriSMEs operating in Crop Production, Animal Production Sector, as producers, processors, marketers, aggregators, etc.
  • Willingness to attend weekly live interactive sessions scheduled for Thursday or Friday evenings across African time zones, complete the self-paced online modules in six weeks, and dedicate a minimum of four hours per week to completing modules and assignments.
