  Access Bank, in collaboration with the office of the Vice President, is organizing the Youthrive program. This initiative targets individuals and MSMEs and is intended to equip them with the skills they need to build their professional and business capacities. The program also offers them financial support and business exchange, which will see them gain exposure to the business environments, players, and processes in other countries.

The Youthrive Program aims to positively impact up to 4 million persons over the next 4 years. Besides setting up numerous persons for entrepreneurial success, it will also give many persons access to employment opportunities after they have completed it.

Benefits

The Access Bank Youthrive Program will provide participating individuals and businesses with the following benefits:
  • Acquire skills that will enable them to become successful entrepreneurs and employees
  • Exceptional entrepreneurs will be embarking on sponsored business exchange programs to the Netherlands, China, or India
  • Access to business grants and business loans, which will be available to participants after they have completed capacity-building training
  • Get guided through business registrations, account openings, and certifications
  • Gain access to employment opportunities at the end of the program

Eligibility

This program is open to persons and businesses that meet these criteria:
  • Startups that have been in operation for less than 12 months
  • Entrepreneurs who own businesses that have been in operation for more than 1 year
  • A tertiary institution degree holder seeking employment opportunities or the chance to build a business venture
  • Young non-graduates with at least a school leaving certificate seeking skill acquisition and business-building opportunities
